A Michigan native, Jen Luoma paints oil and gouache city and landscapes of local and traveled places. She focuses on lighting and the small moments that seem to go unnoticed in our day to day lives.
Born in San Diego, California and raised in Mid-Michigan, she received her Bachelors of Art Education from Michigan State University with a focus on Painting. She moved to Marquette, MI in 2013 and worked for a nonprofit teaching art in underserved schools in the surrounding areas in addition to private lessons of all ages. In 2022 she moved to Olympia, WA, where she continues her painting practice.
